HOW TO ENJOY

Udon noodles are a type of thick wheat flour noodle commonly used in Japanese cuisine. They are white, chewy, and can be served hot or cold.

  • Soup: One of the most popular ways to enjoy udon noodles is in a hot soup. Udon noodle soup usually consists of a flavorful broth, such as dashi or miso, with sliced meat, vegetables, and sometimes tofu or seafood.
  • Stir-fry: Udon noodles can also be stir-fried with vegetables, meat, and sauce. This creates a delicious and filling dish that’s perfect for a quick and easy meal.
  • Salad: Udon noodles can also be used in salads. Just boil the noodles, cool them down with cold water, and then toss them with your favorite salad ingredients and dressing.
  • Tempura: Another way to enjoy udon noodles is by pairing them with tempura, which are deep-fried battered vegetables or seafood. This combination is often served as a side dish or appetizer.
  • Grilled: Udon noodles can also be grilled or pan-fried, which gives them a crispy texture. This can be done by lightly oiling the noodles and then grilling or pan-frying them until crispy and golden brown.

Boiling: Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the udon noodles. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until the noodles are tender but still slightly chewy. Drain the noodles and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process.

Pan-frying: Pan-fry the udon noodles in a little bit of oil until crispy on both sides, then add your choice of vegetables, protein, and sauce to create a stir-fry dish.

Deep-frying: Coat the udon noodles in a light batter and deep-fry them until crispy, then serve as a crunchy and flavorful snack or topping for salads.
